- TAKING THE TEST
After entering your name, sex and age group, scribble a continuous line with your finger for twenty seconds without taking your finger off the screen and without going off the edges of the screen.
-
If the scribbled line is broken before the twenty seconds is up, if you take your finger off the screen or go off the edges of the screen, an error message will appear and you must start the scribble again.
-
Do not draw anything. The line must be a true scribble. If you try to represent something (e.g. a house, a tree, a face, or write a word) the test, even if completed, cannot be considered significant.
-
A message will tell you when the 20 seconds are up.
- SCRIBBLE EVALUATION
The evaluation involves the identification and measurement of more than 150 graphic characteristics of your scribble. The graphic characteristics are passed through a series of neural networks to obtain an assessment of each of the 14 personality traits examined to calculate your Hungry and Foolish Potential.
-
On the final screen:
-
The Central H&F Bar shows your Hungry and Foolish Potential. Your score is shown above the bar.
-
The maximum possible score is 1,000,000.
-
The other bars, to the right and left of the H&F bar, indicate the ratings on each of the personality traits that determine your Hungry and Foolish Potential.

-
Press the "Ratings" button to display:
-

-

The red line indicates the highest H&F score on the Global Network and the name of the person who obtained it.
-
The blue dotted line indicates the average H&F score for all scribbles by those who have agreed to belong to the Global Network.
- PERSONAL ARCHIVE
Your Personal Archive contains the results of all tests you have taken, regardless of whether Geolocation was enabled or not.

- Managing the Archive:
-
You can sort your tests by name, by date or by score.
-
You can delete any tests you don't want to keep.
-
To delete a test from the Archive, place your finger on the test you want to delete and swipe left or right.
**Warning: this operation is irreversible: it is impossible to restore the tests you have deleted.
-
- Test status:
The globe icon on the left shows the status of a test. There are three possible states:
1. BARRED GLOBE

Test with Geolocation disabled. The test is only stored in the Personal Archive.
2. CLEAR GLOBE

Test with Geolocation enabled. The test is also sent to the Global Network.
3. GRAYED GLOBE

Test with Geolocation enabled but no Internet connection. The test will be sent to the Global Network when an active Internet connection is available.
- GLOBAL NETWORK AND WORLD MAP
If Geolocation is activated and you give your consent, your test results can be published on the Global Network and World Map.
If your H&F score is among the top three hundred, your name, sex and age group, plus the date of the scribble, will appear in the Global Network list and a marker indicating your location will appear on the World Map.
**If you repeat the test over several days, only your highest score will be taken into consideration.
- GEOLOCATION
The 'HungryFoolish ScribbleTest' requires your consent to use Location Services to publish your test result on the 'Hungry and Foolish' Global Network and World Map.
To activate Location Services:
iOS 6
-
-
Open the Settings app
- Select Privacy.
-
Tap Location Services.
-
Set the 'Hungry Foolish' switch to ON.
-

iOS 5
-
-
Open the Settings app
- Tap Location Services.
-
Set the 'Hungry Foolish' switch to ON.
-

- PRIVACY
If Geolocation is enabled, each time you enter new data (name, sex and age group) you will be asked to authorize their publication on the Global Network.
If you do not consent to publication, you will not be able to continue the test until you disable Location Services for 'Hungry Foolish'. In this case you will be able to continue the test, but the results will only be saved to your Personal Archive.
The data is archived using a hashing algorithm which makes it impossible to identify the device that produced it and therefore the person who executed the scribble.
The data contained in the Global Network will be used purely for research purposes.
- EXPORTING
It is possible to export an image and the result of each test:
-
by saving it to the Camera Roll,
